Ban them all

Don't just g-men
Recently, I read a story about a couple of "kids" who created their very own drug syndicate.  Seems these "kids" were recruiting students from their prep school alma mater (Haverford School) and other schools to sell drugs to the nations' elite preppy students.  Guess money doesn't buy class.

Anyway, the point of this blog post is the picture that accompanied the article.  What it shows is Montco District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman holding an AR-15 assault rifle seized along with drugs, money, and other items by Lower Merion police in breaking the drug ring.  Wait, what?  An AR-15?  I gotta wonder how many citizens carry around an AR-15 in their gun chests.  I would think an AR-15 is something you'd find on a battle field - not some ritzy prep school play ground.

The problem with this is that there will be those in Congress who will seize on this claiming all guns should be banned to prohibit AR-15's from getting to the streets.  Problem is, if an AR-15 is on the streets, most likely it will be in the hands of a criminal (like the above mentioned drug runners) who doesn't care a wit about the gun laws of any jurisdiction - state or federal.  I'm just saying.
